I went to Koti (near Chail) in the 2nd week of June 2008. One of the most interesting places that I visited was the world’s highest cricket ground in Chail at a height of 2444 metres (7500 ft.). It was built by the Maharaja of Patiala who was passionate about cricket. Though it deserves a mention in the Guinness Book of World Records, it has not been considered for inclusion, as competitive cricket is not played here. The ground is mostly used for local school matches or military sports and drills.
