I am Me Again

My life was busy
Home to work and back
I spent weekends with friends
Whom I didn’t want to meet
With books and magazines
That I didn’t want to read
Probably had no choice
Thought that’s happiness, success and that’s life
But that was not

I was searching for someone
Everywhere I go
The one I lost long ago
I was searching for me
The one I used to be

I was living for a living
I was busy
Everyone thought I was happy, except me
Everyone was happy for me, except me

I forgot the songs
That I used to hum when I was young
I forgot the last song
That I played on the piano
I didn’t know when I write the last poem
Or read a book that I want to read

I don’t remember when I was me
I don’t remember when I was happy, actually

Then you came
I thought you are just another person in my life
I was wrong

I don’t know why
I want to be like you
I like your likes
As they used to be my likes too

Every thing that you say or do
Reminds me of me
The one that I used to be

My life is still busy
Home to work and back
ButI recollected my collection of songs
That I used to hum
I play the piano often
I know when I wrote the last poem……………..
Last weekend

I love poems, books and music again
Above all, I love myself again

Thank youI am back to what I was
One that I used to be
I am me again

But I owe a lot to you
I don’t expect anything from you
To expect anything from youI know,
will be too much
You have already given me so much
Without giving anything
By just being what you are
By bringing me back to me

Please don’t ever say anything that you don’t mean
You don’t know, what you say or do
Can change someone’s life
You have already changed someone’s life
You have given somebody ‘his life’
